Eligibility Requirements

Whether you previously studied advertising or zoology, as long as you have a bachelor’s degree and a solid academic track record, you’re welcome to apply to our Accelerated BSN program. 

To become a Loyola ABSN student, you must meet these requirements:

  • BA or BS degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Prerequisite course completion at a regionally accredited institution.   

While you can apply to our ABSN program with some prerequisites in progress, you must satisfy the prerequisite requirements before you can begin nursing school.

Four-step Admission Process

1. Contact

Discuss your qualifications and learning preferences with an enrollment advisor.

2. Plan

Create an academic plan that targets a January or August program start date.

3. Complete

Finish all of the ABSN prerequisites within our specified requirements.

4. Apply

Fill out the ABSN program application online and submit all requested materials.

GPA Guidance

ABSN prerequisites factor into your GPA. If your current cumulative GPA is just below 3.0, you could potentially raise your average and be eligible for the program by doing well in the prerequisite courses.
